Rotary E-club of District 3450 Club President (2010-2011) Johnny Hon

It is a pleasure to greet my fellow Rotarians early into the new Rotary year. 

Our RI President Ray Klinginsmith said at the last International Assembly: “It is important that Rotary is a ‘spirit of service’ as well as an organisation of Rotary Clubs, and we need to share our core values of services, fellowship, diversity, integrity, and leadership with other people and organisations.” 

He considered many words and phrases to capture the essence of Rotary’s current mission and the words he finally selected to describe it are: “Building Communities — Bridging Continents”. 

We must never forget that our mission is to provide service to others, to promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
